In short
An astrology app without AutoPay charges you only when you choose to pay, each time, for a price you have already seen, and never sets up a UPI AutoPay mandate that can take money from your account later. Before paying any astrology app, check whether the payment is one-time or recurring, and look carefully at the mandate screen your UPI app shows before you enter your PIN.
What UPI AutoPay and a mandate are
UPI AutoPay lets a business take money from your bank account again and again, on a schedule, after you approve it once. That one approval is called a mandate. It is useful for things you mean to pay every month, such as a utility bill or an insurance premium.
When you approve a mandate, your UPI app shows a screen with the business name, the maximum amount, how often it can be charged, and for how long. Once you enter your UPI PIN on that screen, the business can charge you within those limits without asking each time. You usually get a notice before each debit.
How a small trial can turn into a repeat charge
The pattern is simple, and it is worth knowing. You see a very small price for a trial, perhaps a few rupees. You tap to pay. But the screen that opens is not a one-time payment; it is a mandate screen, and the maximum amount and frequency on it are much higher than the trial price. Later, when the trial ends, a full charge is taken, and then again on the next cycle.
Many people miss it because the first charge was tiny and the PIN step looks like any other payment. The terms are on the mandate screen, but they are easy to skip when you are in a hurry or worried.
Per-minute meters are different: the cost depends on how long the chat or call runs, often from a wallet you top up first, so the final cost is hard to know when you start.
Checklist before you pay any astrology app
- Is the full price on screen before you pay? You should know the exact rupee amount for what you get.
- Is it one-time or recurring? Look for words like "per month", "renews", "subscription" or "trial".
- Read the screen in your UPI app before the PIN. If it says AutoPay, mandate, or shows a frequency (monthly, weekly) and a maximum amount, it is a recurring approval, not a one-time payment.
- Is there a per-minute meter or a wallet? Find out the rate and how the clock is shown during the chat.
- Are free features really free? A free tier should not need a mandate.
How to see and cancel a UPI AutoPay mandate
The exact menus differ between UPI apps, so here is the general path:
- Open the UPI app you used to approve the payment.
- Look for a section named AutoPay, Mandates or something similar. It is often under your profile, settings or payments.
- You will see a list of active mandates with each business name and amount.
- Choose the one you want to stop and select pause or cancel. Your app may ask for your UPI PIN to confirm.
- Check that the mandate now shows as cancelled or revoked.
Cancelling stops future debits from that mandate. If you cannot find the mandate, check your bank's own app or contact your bank or UPI app's customer support. A mandate set up on a debit or credit card is managed through your card or bank, not your UPI app.

How SachAstro calculates this
The Match Card and every SachAstro chart come from our own engine, built on NASA JPL DE440 planetary data through Skyfield, with the sidereal zodiac and Lahiri ayanamsa. Our panchang conventions are fixed: sunrise and sunset use the Sun's upper limb with standard refraction, moonrise uses the centre of the Moon's disc (topocentric), and the tithi is the Moon−Sun elongation divided by 12°. Times are rounded to the nearest minute, in IST. On 29 October 2026 we checked our panchang results against a leading public panchang for 10 cities, and all were within 2 minutes.

Yes. SachAstro never uses AutoPay or mandates; every payment is one-time, at a price shown before you pay. Payments are not open yet.
