Tara is SachAstro's AI astrology guide: our own chart engine calculates your kundli from NASA JPL DE440 planetary data, and Tara, an AI, only explains those computed facts in plain words, citing your own chart in every answer. Tara is always labelled as AI, never claims to be a person or a pandit, and refuses to predict health, illness, death or lifespan, court cases, gambling or stocks, pregnancy or the gender of a child, or anything about harm.
How an answer is made
People often ask "is AI astrology accurate?" The honest reply has two parts: the calculation, and the interpretation. We keep them apart on purpose.
- The engine calculates. Planet positions, houses, dashas and transits come from our own chart engine, using NASA JPL's DE440 planetary data. The AI never works out a planet position itself, so it cannot invent one.
- Tara interprets. An AI language model reads only those computed facts and explains what the astrological tradition says about them, in simple Hindi or English.
- Your chart is cited. Every answer names the chart facts it rests on, for example which house a planet sits in or which dasha is running, so you can check them yourself.
- Safety checks run. Before you see an answer, it is checked for topics we never predict and for fear language.
So the calculation is as exact as the planetary data allows. The interpretation is tradition, explained clearly. Astrology itself is a traditional practice, not a proven science, and Tara says so when it matters.
What Tara will not predict
Some questions should go to a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser, not an astrologer. Tara declines these and points you to the right kind of help:
- health, illness, death or lifespan
- court cases and legal outcomes
- gambling, lottery or stock tips
- pregnancy or the gender of a child
- anything about harming yourself or others
Tara also does not use fear. You will not hear "dosh" scares or warnings that something terrible will happen. She talks about timing and choices. Remedies, when they come up, are optional, and free home remedies come first. She never promises an outcome.
Always AI, never a person
Tara is an AI. That is said in her profile, in her first message and in every video. She does not speak as a god or a guru, and she does not pretend to be a human astrologer.
Human astrologers, when we offer them, are a separate, named premium service. They are always shown as human, and Tara is always shown as AI, so you know who you are talking to.
An answer carries the label "checked by our team" only when a person on our team actually checked that answer. Our team also reads a sample of answers every week. Our target is fewer than 1 bad answer in every 100. That is a target we work to, not a measured result we are claiming.

How SachAstro calculates this
Our chart engine is our own, built on NASA JPL DE440 planetary data through Skyfield. The zodiac is sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa. The vaar is counted from local sunrise; sunrise and sunset use the Sun's upper limb with standard refraction; the tithi is the Moon−Sun elongation divided by 12°. Times are rounded to the nearest minute, in IST. On 29 October 2026 we checked our panchang results against a leading public panchang for 10 cities, and all were within 2 minutes.
